A few weeks ago I popped to see Melissa Derbyshire and Hayley Gallagher, who both run Dolce Vita Event Management. Dolce Vita is a wedding and event planning service covering the UK and the globe. Added to this they also provide a concierge service and on your behalf can pretty much organise anything from gig tickets to bespoke holidays. They aim to take the pressure of organising your event, trip or wedding.  Melissa and Hayley bring a little extra something to the table though.

I had the pleasure recently photographing the wedding of James and Leanne in Nottingham. It was a fantastic wedding. The reception venue at Attenborough Village Hall was hand decorated and set up by family and friends. We had great weather and grabbed some great wedding photos on location in Highfields Park. I'd like to share a few of my favourite photos with you.

Whilst up at St Marys Church in Rostherne, Cheshire on a location recce, taking shots in the church to best decide upon my lens needs I came across this amasing sepulcra. A single silent angel watches over a sleeping girl. Is the Angel protecting the girl, threatening her or merely curious about the latest mortal to enter the Heavens? You decide.

In a previous post I talked a little about the qualities of the 'magic hour'. I mentioned that it only lasted about 20 minutes or so before it was gone. What happens after that. I recently recced the wonderful church up at Rostherne, St Mary's. After a long day of good weather I was keen to see how the church would be during magic hour not just for my own satisfaction but for use as a possible location for some bride and groom portraits . However I got there too late.
